No activities are planned for Day 1, so arrive any time to start to explore. There will be a group meeting in the evening. Afterwards, perhaps dine out in one of Kathmandu’s great restaurants.

We travel to Pokhara, then trek through terraced hillsides to Pothana, with views of the Annapurna peaks, Machhapuchhare, Annapurna South, Annapurna II and Lamjung. We descend into the Modi Khola River valley, then trek on to Chomrong and Sinuwa.

We follow a spectacular narrow valley into the Annapurna Sanctuary. The sanctuary offers simply breathtaking views of the south face of Annapurna 1 (8091m), Annapurna III, Gangapurna, Annapurna South and Machhapuchhare.

After enjoying the morning sunrise, we descend back into the forested valley and walk on to Chomrong. From here, we return to Pokhara via a different trail, passing through Ghandruk, the largest village in the region.

From Ghandruk it is downhill all the way to the road at Naya Phul, where we meet our coach for the drive to Pokhara. The afternoon is free to chill out by beautiful Lake Phewa or relax in one of the many cafés and restaurants.

Back in Kathmandu there’s plenty of time to wander through the streets, shopping, relaxing and soaking up the unique atmosphere of the Nepalese capital. Our trip ends the following morning. Additional post-tour accommodation in Kathmandu is available on request.
