Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Victoria Falls
Check out the falls before our 6pm group briefing. Poncho optional.
Day 2-3: Hwange National Park
Dare you to try and count the number of elephant and buffalo we see in Hwange. They're everywhere.
Day 4-5: Gweru - Motobo National Park
Motobo's one of the best spots to see leopard and rhino. From our camp there are a few activities to choose from: rhino tracking, mountain biking and bird watching.
Day 6-7: Great Zimbabwe Ruins - Musina
The ruins were built back in the 11th century and were home to Zimbabwe's royal family. Practice your curtsy.
Day 8-9: Kruger National Park
Nothing compares with the thrill of spotting lions, elephants, giraffe, zebras and rhinos all in one day. Well, except if a honey badger decides to rad your camp during the night. That would be pretty awesome.
Day 10: Blyde River Canyon
Blyde River Canyon featured in cult '80s hit The Gods Must Be Crazy. Xi goes to a spot called God's Window, and thinks it must be the edge of the world so he chucks that pesky Coke bottle off the edge.
Day 11-12: Pretoria - Johannesburg
Even though you swore you weren't going to waste any money on souvenirs, it's hard to resist. Especially once you've hit the flea markets in Jo'burg with the handmade jewellery and homewares.
Tour Grade: Wildlife
Take your pick: hunt for tigers in northern India, listen to monkey chatter and birdsong in the jungles of Costa Rica and Peru or gawp at the Galapagos’ diversity. And of course, there's the big one: Africa. The names alone evoke images of wildlife: the Serengeti, Masai Mara, Kruger. And the reality’s even better. Africa’s got the lot, so go beyond the Big Five by hiking to close encounters with gorillas in Uganda’s forests, walking with lions at Zimbabwe’s Antelope Park, or canoeing past crocs on the Okavango Delta. From the Cape’s loveable penguins to Egypt’s loping camels, Africa’s animals await.
