Our trip starts today in pleasant Port Elizabeth - the largest city in the Eastern Cape. Here we experience a township tour, where we join the locals for a drink in a shebeen (local pub).

We depart for Addo Elephant National Park, which we explore on an afternoon game drive in an open vehicle. This park is home to a population of about 450 elephants and a variety of other wildlife. Our campsite is located within the park.

After a morning game drive, we travel past the famous surf beach at Jeffrey's Bay and arrive at the mouth of Storms River, inside Tsitsikamma National Park. We hike the beginning of the Otter Trail to a majestic waterfall.

Departing Tsitsikamma National Park, we drive along the heart of South Africa's picturesque Garden Route and continue to Oudtshoorn, where we explore the vast halls and towering formations of the spectacular Cango Caves.

In the morning we visit an ostrich farm and learn about their many commercial uses. We can even try our hands at riding one! We then travel over the Swartberg Pass to the renowned winelands region of the Western Cape and enjoy some wine-tasting before reaching Cape Town, where we spend our final night.
