Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Pretoria/Johannesburg (South Africa)
Our trip starts today at our lodge near Pretoria. No activities are planned, so you may arrive at any time.
Day 2: Khama Rhino Sanctuary (Botswana)
We travel north to Botswana and across to Khama Rhino Sanctuary for our first night of camping under Botswana skies. Tonight you may take an optional night game drive in the sanctuary.
Day 3: Khama Rhino Sanctuary - Maun (Botswana)
This morning we join the Rhino Trail to discover more about this community-run wildlife conservation centre. We continue to Maun, our base for the Okavango Delta excursion.
Day 4-6: Okavango Delta Excursion - Maun (Botswana)
We travel through the waterways and camp 'wild' for two nights on an island. We take game walks and mokoro (traditional dug-out canoe) cruises. Upon returning to Maun, there is the chance for an optional sunset flight over this incredible delta.
Day 7-8: Chobe National Park (Botswana)
We travel past the Makgadikgadi Pans and Nxai Pans National Park to Kasane, where we set up camp for one night on the banks of the Thebe River. Our second night is spent at a mobile camp inside Chobe National Park. An early morning game drive and an afternoon river cruise ensure a wealth of incredible wildlife experiences.
Day 9-10: Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe)
We leave Botswana behind, enter Zimbabwe and head to spectacular Victoria Falls, known by the local Kololo tribe as Mosi-oa-Tunya, 'The Smoke that Thunders'. Our tour ends on Day 10, after breakfast.
Tour Grade: Wildlife
Take your pick: hunt for tigers in northern India, listen to monkey chatter and birdsong in the jungles of Costa Rica and Peru or gawp at the Galapagos’ diversity. And of course, there's the big one: Africa. The names alone evoke images of wildlife: the Serengeti, Masai Mara, Kruger. And the reality’s even better. Africa’s got the lot, so go beyond the Big Five by hiking to close encounters with gorillas in Uganda’s forests, walking with lions at Zimbabwe’s Antelope Park, or canoeing past crocs on the Okavango Delta. From the Cape’s loveable penguins to Egypt’s loping camels, Africa’s animals await.
