Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Johannesburg
Our trip starts today at our lodge in a remote area between Pretoria and Johannesburg. No activities are planned, so you may arrive at any time.
Day 2-3: Kruger National Park
Leaving Pretoria, we drive to the historic town of Graskop. The Blyde River intersects with the Treur River to form Blyde River Canyon - the world's largest green canyon. We explore this picturesque gorge and its wonderful lookouts by vehicle and on foot.
Day 4: Swaziland/Hlane Royal National Park
Heading into the lowveld, we enter the famous Kruger National Park. We explore and search for wildlife on morning and afternoon game drives. There is also an optional guided night game drive in an open safari vehicle.
Day 5-6: Mozambique Beach Camp
Leaving Kruger National Park we enter the culturally-rich Kingdom of Swaziland. We stay and enjoy a safari at Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary, the first protected area in Swaziland and a haven for several species, including zebras, giraffes and many species of antelopes.
Day 7: St Lucia Estuary
We cross into our third country, Mozambique, and make our way to its lively and evocative capital, Maputo, in search of its Portuguese legacies.
Day 8: Zululand
We spend a day amidst the sand dunes of a beautiful Mozambique beach and get a chance to taste some of the delicious seafood on offer.
Day 9: Durban
Leaving Mozambique, we return to South Africa and continue to St Lucia, our campsite for the next two nights. Take a sunset cruise through the World Heritage-listed wetlands reserve - a haven for crocodiles, hippos, pelicans and flamingos. We also spent a day on safari in Hluhluwe-Imfolozi National Park, in search of white rhinos.
